Clay St. Structure Fire

Just before 7:00 am on Saturday October 17,2009 the N.E.F.D was dispatched to Clay St. for a reported structure fire. Chief 210 arrived on scene reporting a 2 story structure with smoke visible from the attic.  E-202 arrived on scene and pulled 2 - 1 3/4" attack lines and went in to investigate.  Once inside crews found fire in the attic near an electrical panel.  once the crew from E-202 made access to the attic the fire was extinguished.  Crescent L-209 took the driveway next to the residence and placed the aerial onto the roof and prepared to ventilate while the other half of the crew placed some ground ladders.  E-204 layed in from the hydrant near by and connected it to E-202.  the crew from E-204 then assisted with salvage and overhaul.  Chief 200 had the Clay St. command.
