Damsite Rd. Structure Fire

Just after 5:30 pm on Sunday October 3,2009 the N.E.F.D was dispatched to Damsite and Rt. 89 for a reported structure fire.  Chief 200 arrived on location reporting a 40' x 60' pole barn with heavy fire showing from the front. Chief 200 requested a 2nd alarm be dispatched bringing Harbor creek, Fairfield and St. 70 to the scene.  E-202 arrived and pulled to 1 3/4" attack lines and began to extinguish the fire.  Crescent L-209 arrived and pulled a hand line to protect the exposures.  while the other half of the ladder crew assisted with suppression.  E-204 arrived and was ordered to establish a water supply at the reservoir down Damsite Rd.  Crews from HCFD, FFD and St. 70 assisted in salvage and overhaul operations along with water supply.  Chief 200 had the Damsite Rd. command.
