Route 89 Structure Fire

In the early afternoon of Sunday November 28, 2010 The N. E. F. D was dispatched to Route 89 for a reported structure fire.  Engine 202 arrived on location to find a single story structure with heavy fire in the garage.  Fuller L-5 assumed command and had an Engine dispatched for Fairfield.  Crews from Engine 202 stretched two lines to the garage to begin extingushing the fire while the pump operator extablished it's own water supply from a near by hydrant.  Ladder 209 arrived and went to the roof to ventilate.  Crescent C-4 then assumed command and had an engine respond from Ripley and South Ripley.  Crews work for a short period of time to extingush the fire.  Once the fire was knocked down command released all mutual aid companies and the N.E.F.D completed some over haul. The N.E.F.D was assisted by Fairfield, Ripley and South Ripley.  Crescent C-4 had the Rt 89 command.
