W Main Rd Structure Fire

Just after 1:30 am on Thursday December 17,2009 the NEFD was dispatched to the 10000 block of W Main Rd for a reported structure fire.  Chief 211 arrived on location reporting a 50' x 80' building with heavy fire in the rear requesting Harborcreek and Fairfield to the scene. E-202 arrived and placed 2 - 1 3/4" attack lines into service.  Crews from the Engine split into two crews with one crew going to the 2nd floor and the other crew going to the 1st floor.  T-206 arrived next and laid a supply line to the engine.  E-204 arrived next and made a reverse lay from E-202 to the hydrant 400' down the road.  once crews had the bulk of the fire knocked down and extended period of time was spent on over haul operations.  Chief 200 had the W Main Rd command.  The NEFD was assisted by Harborcreek VFD and Fairfield Hose Co.
