Smoke in the Structure on East Lake Road

Fuller Hose was dispatched to the 12000 blk. of E Lake Road Sunday March 18,2007 for smoke in the structure around 1:30 pm.  Chief 201 arrived on scene reporting a 1 story cottage with nothing showing from the exterior.  Upon further investigation 201 found a working chimney fire with moderate extension.  Engine 202 arrived on scene and was ordered to take the driveway and send there crew inside with hand tools to start opening up the walls to find the fire. Crescent Ladder 209 arrived next and went to the roof to check the top of the chimney. Tanker 206 staged across the road with EMS, while Engine 204 pulled in behind 202 and sent their crew inside to assist 202's crew.  Once the walls and ceiling were opened, the crews found moderate fire conditions and knocked down the fire with a cross lay.  All units when available a short time later.  Chief Wilkinson had the East Lake Road command.
