MVA 9400 Block W Main Rd.
Around 9:00 pm on Tuesday March 9,2010 Fuller Hose was dispatched to the 9400 block of W Main Rd for a vehicle accident. While the units were responding, East Erie County Communications reported that there were numerous calls coming in of 3 vehicles with people trapped. Engine 204 arrived on scene first confirming dispatch and advised Chief 200 that there was 4 patients trapped in 3 seperate vehicles and 3 patients self extriacted. Chief 200 then asked for another Rescue, 3 more Ambulances,2 more medic's, air medical and another Engine Company from Fuller Hose to the scene. Rescue 208 arrived on scene and the crews form the Rescue and the Engine split up and began extricating patients. HCFD Rescue 228 and Squad 227 arrived next and began assisting with the extrication. Engine 204 relocated to establish a landing zone for Life Star. FFD Squad 267 and St.24 Squad 247 arrived and assisted with treating patients. All patients were extricated a short time later and transported to Hamot. PSP Erie is investigating the incident. Chief 200 had the Route 20 command.
