Assist to St. 70 for a Vehicle Fire

Just after lunch time on Tuesday April 21,2009 Fuller Hose was dispatched to assist St. 70 for a  reported vehicle fire with exposures on Rt. 89.  Engine 2-4 arrived on scene reporting a fire in the engine compartment of a SUV in the driveway approx. 15 feet from the structure.  Engine 204 pulled a 1 3/4" attack line and also the 1 3/4" pre connected Piercing Nozzle to extinguish the fire.  Tanker 206 staged behind the Engine for water supply if needed. Fuller L-6 had the Rt. 89 command.
