Remington Rd. Structure Fire
On Wednesday June 18,2008 Fuller Hose was dispatched for a reported structure fire on Remington Rd. Chief 200 arrived on location reporting heavy fire showing from a 1 story structure. Fuller Engine 202 and Crescent Engine 212 arrived at the same time. While the crews from E-202 pulled 2 – 1 ¾” attack lines and went in the front door, E-212 established a water supply from the pond in the front yard. Fuller Engine 204 arrived next and went to the roof to ventilate. As the crews started to ventilate it was noticed that there was fire throughout the entire attic space and all crews were ordered to evacuate the structure. After a short time of master stream operations the bulk of the fire was knocked down, crews reentered the structure for a lengthy period of overhaul operations. Chief 200 had the Remington Rd. command. The fire is being investigated by the PSP Fire Marshal and the N.E.F.D. Crews were assisted by Harbor Creek, Ripley and South Ripley.
