Late in the afternoon on Sunday August 20, 2011 the N.E.F.D was dispatched for a reported Structure Fire.  Crescent Ladder 209 and Engine 202 arrived at the same time to find heavy fire on the first floor of a two story structure.  Engine 202 placed two lines in service to extinguish the fire.  Multiple mutual aid companies were called into assist the N.E.F.D with salvage and over haul due to hot weather.  One occupant was transported to Hamot with burns by Crescent EMS and ECI.  The assisting companies were Harbor Creek, Fairfield, Ripley and ECI.  The fire is under investigation by the N.E.F.D and North East Police.
