46 Years of service
The N.E.F.D Honored Fuller Hose member James Adamus Saturday Night for his 46 years of service to the community of North East. After the Dinner was served Jim received many awards. Erie County Executive Mark DiVecchio presented Jim with a certificate of achievement from Erie County. North East Mayor Noreen Tuttle presented Jim with a Key to the town and a Certificate of Appreciation from the Borough. North East Fireman's Auxiliary Member LuAnne McIntosh also presented Jim with a Certificate. Crescent Hose Captain Jimmy Moore Present Jim with a Certificate and a Fire Fighters Blanket. Fuller Hose President Terry McIntosh presented Jim with a Axe with a painting on it and a plate that stated showed his 46 years of service to the Fuller Hose Company from 1960 to 2006. After all of the awards where handed out, a slide show presentation was shown to the guest, followed by comments from the guest to Jim. After all the guests spoke, Jim took a few minutes to thank everyone for coming. In the 46 years that Jim was a member of Fuller Hose, he spent 40 years on the North East Fireman's Relief Assoc. as secretary. Also Jim Spent 30 years in the Finance office at the North East Fireman's Cherry Festival, which is one of the only fund raisers the N.E.F.D does throughout the year.
