Busy 4th for Fuller Hose
This 4th of July was a steady day for Fuller Hose The Day
started out 13 minutes before Midnight with a reported structure with
possible entrapment in the Rolling Meadows Trailer Park. Eng. 202, Eng.
204 and Tanker 206 responded to find a mobile home with light smoke
visible upon arrival. Chief 211 reported burnt food on the with a victim
with smoke inhalation, and down sized the assignment to Eng. 202, Ladder
209, Squad 217 and the ECI Medic. The Engine crew assisted with
ventilation, and returned available. Chief 211 had the Loomis St.
command. Then around 4:00am Fuller's where at it again for a Brush fire
along the R/R Tracks in the area of the R/R Museum. Brush 216 responded
to find a 15'x15' area burning, and extinguished the fire quickly. After
that it was a quiet rest of the night. Around 12:45 Engine 204 and Tanker
206 headed to Lawrence Park for their Annual 4th of July Parade. Engine
204 bought home a trophy for Best Appearing Commercial Pumper and Tanker
206 bought home a trophy for Best Appearing Tanker. The Final event for
the evening was Engine 204 and Brush 216 headed to Mercyhurst North East
for the fire works standby. Thanks to mother nature there where no fire
related emergencies. On a side note hopefully the rain we received on
Wednesday will give us a break from all the brush fires we have had the
past few weeks.
