N.E.F.D was dispatched to Better Baked Foods on Smedley St. Friday Morning for a reported Structure fire inside the building.  Chief 210 arrived on scene  with nothing showing.  Eng. 202 arrived and sent their crew inside with extinguishers and hand tools to find the source of the fire the Engine crew found an exhaust fan had shorted out and started a fire in the ceiling.  Crescent L- 209 arrived and went to the roof to check the exhaust fan, and remove the fan for futher investigation.  The Ladder Crew found some small extension on either side of the opening.  The Engine Crew check for extension inside the building and overhauled the small area that was burnt.  Command released all units a short time later.  Units on scene were: North East, Cheif 201, Chief 210, Chief 211, Engine 202, Engine 212, Ladder 209, Rescue 208, Tanker 206, Squad 207, HarborCreek Engine/ Tanker 225, Brookside Engine 242, Squad 248, Greenfield Engine 704, Emergycare Medic 192.
