Busy Weekend for the Engine Company

 

Fuller Hose was dispatched for a total of 7 calls over the weekend starting around 7:30am on Thursday May 17, 2007.  The weekend started of Thursday morning for a reported vehicle accident on Mallick Rd. Engine 204 responded with a crew of 4.  The Engine arrived on scene and found 1 vehicle rolled over in a ditch with no patient around the vehicle, crews did a quick search for any victims and returned to service.  Just about 12 hrs later Fuller Hose was dispatched to the same area for a reported vehicle fire Engine 204 with a crew of 5 and Tanker 206 with a crew of 2 arrived to find a van with fire in the passenger’s compartment. The Engine crew stretched a 1 ¾” attack line and made quick work of extinguishing the fire.  On Friday Fuller Hose was dispatched around 11:15 am to E Main St for a reported Structure Fire.  Crescent C-4 arrived on scene with nothing showing.  Upon further investigation it was reported that they had a small grease fire in the kitchen, and that it was already out. Crescent C-4 placed all units in service. Then around 8:45pm Fuller Hose was dispatched to the Police Department on E Main St for smoke in the structure. Engine 202 with 6 and Engine 204 with 5 arrived on scene to find nothing showing.  Crews enter the building and found a light haze.  Upon further investigation the source was found in the HVAC unit on the roof. Crescent Ladder 209 went to the roof to check the unit.  After some small ventilation the crews went available. Chief 200 has the Police Dept. command. In the early hours of Saturday Fuller hose was dispatched for an investigation on Colfax St. Chief 200 arrived to find a small camp fire in the area and placed all units available.  Later that day Fuller Hose was dispatched to assist Crescent Hose on an EMS call.  Then on Sunday Fuller Hose was dispatched to W Main St for a residential fire alarm.  Crescent Chief 210 arrived on scene with nothing showing. A few minutes later Chief 210 reported a false alarm and placed all units available
